Our Name

The name "Black Box" is inspired by founder Rick Cavalli’s unique experiences with Lockheed's Skunk Works, where he learned the value of innovation and intellectual capital.  During frequent visits, Rick learned firsthand from the principal designer of the stealth fighter plane about the covert "Black Rooms," designed to protect against Soviet espionage. These rooms symbolized the capacity to push boundaries and achieve what was once considered impossible. At Black Box Principals, we carry that legacy forward by collaborating with clients to unlock purpose-drive breakout outcomes.
